Texans Trapped
The new term I learned this week was Deferred Adjudication. I created a video for a group in Texas that is advocating reform in the judicial system there. Over 2 million Texans have accepted Deferred Adjudication for an alleged crime, with the understanding that their case will be dismissed when a probationary period is over. It seems it doesn't quite work out that way. Learn more by viewing the video:
